listing"?
A: Listings in the
calendar section are free, but because the magazine is a complimentary
publication supported by advertising, space is limited!
Here's what our editors consider when reviewing
your event for publication:
- Your event's entertainment value & level
of broad public appeal.
- The location of your event in relation to
the majority of our readership
- The sponsors' organization ... whether it's
for profit or non-profit
- The date in which your submission was received.
(all events must be received prior to the 5th of the preceding
month)
- Your event description must be submitted
in writing by the 5th of the preceding month.

can I find a copy of the magazine?
A: Over 30,000 magazines
are distributed throughout a ten county area. You'll find Happenings
at each of our advertiser locations. The magazine is also available
at over 500 other locations in Northeast Pennsylvania. You'll find
Happenings at such high traffic locations as banks, libraries, restaurants,
hotels and shopping malls.
Happenings is also available by subscription.
For $24 a year the magazine is delivered right to
your door by the first of the month. Visa, MasterCard, American
Express and Discover accepted.
Or you may make a check payable to Happenings Magazine.
Subscriptions begin once payment is received.
Q: How
do I go about getting my ad in Happenings Magazine?
A: Happenings Magazine
has full layout and design capabilities and can design your ad.
If you or your agency prefer to design your own ad, Happenings requires
a digital disk file. A spec sheet will be provided detailing file
requirements. We encourage the use of professional photography to
represent your business and can arrange this for you. For more information

my event be featured on the cover?
A: Several factors impact
choosing a cover for Happenings but any event selected must have
a paid full page advertisement inside that issue. We look
for high quality photography and/or art work. We also select images
that will attract a wide range of readers. Our editorial staff will
consider all requests.
Q: How
can my business be featured in an article?
A: Because Happenings is
a complimentary publication, editorial space is at a premium. Advertisers
who have an interesting story to tell and who have committed to
a full year contract receive first consideration for feature articles. |
