Happenings showcases the best of Northeast PA, including the Poconos, Endless Mountains, Back Mountains and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton metro-areas. Our primary coverage and distribution is in the following ten counties: Bradford, Carbon, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Pike, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Wayne and Wyoming.

Where can I pick up Happenings Magazine?
Happenings is distributed at over 800 locations in Northeast PA. Look for a complimentary copy at advertiser locations, libraries, banks, country clubs, visitors centers, PA Interstate Welcome Centers, hotels, shopping malls, chambers of commerce, retail stores, fine restaurants and the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport. For $26 a year or $50 for two years, Happenings is delivered right to your door by the first of the month. Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express accepted. Checks payable to Happenings Magazine. Subscriptions begin after payment is received.

Can I give a Happenings Magazine subscription as a gift?
Yes! See above for subscription info, and mention you’d like to give the subscription as a gift. Include billing address as well as delivery name and address. You can also request a card to announce the gift to the recipient.

How do I get my event in Happenings Magazine’s event calendar?
Events in and around Northeast PA are considered for publication. To be considered for print publication, events must be received no later than the first of the month preceding publication (For example, July 1 for the August issue). All events received after that date can only be considered for the online calendar. Since event listings are free, and space is limited, not all events will be published in the print publication. All effort will be made to include additional events on the online calendar. Click here to submit your event for consideration.

I have an idea for a story; how do I submit it?
Ideas for stories should be received at least three months prior to publication date. For major stories, requests should be made one year in advance. Subject matter should center around something noteworthy in or around Northeast PA. Click here to submit your idea (submission does not guarantee a story).

How do I nominate someone for a regular feature?
Happenings wants to hear from you! Do you know someone we should consider featuring for our poplar regular features such as weddings, red dress models, green leaders and more? Click here!

Do you accept unsolicited freelance work?
No. Happenings’ team of writers creates original stories in-house. Please submit story ideas (see above) instead of completed articles.

Can my event be featured on the cover?
Covers and major stories are planned at least one year in advance. Preference is given to Happenings’ loyal supporters with noteworthy items that appeal to the general public. To submit an idea for a cover feature, click here.
